On the morning of August 30, the launching ceremony of "Electrified Africa starts from here" and the opening ceremony of Nigerian students were held in the Qianshan plant of the group company, which marked the official launch of the project of Nigeria Electrical Equipment Industrial Park. Yu Gongbin, Mayor of Anshan City, Dr. Haruna, Executive Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure of Nigeria (NASENI), Zhang Xiaodong, Vice President of China Great Wall Industrial Corporation Co., Ltd.(CGWIC), and Ma Liming, Chairman of Huaye Group, attended the launch ceremony.
The cooperation project between Huaye and Nigeria is an EPC project jointly developed by CGWIC with Huaye after many in-depth investigations and full recognition of Huaye's market experience, tooling and equipment, technical level and other aspects. As a partner of CGWIC, Huaye will train 60 Nigerian students for the first 60 days. Through comprehensive training on management, technology and ability level, the trainees will fully understand the working principle of transformer, master the basic production methods, and comprehensively improve the theoretical knowledge of electrician and production training. In the future, these engineers will participate in the construction and operation of the project. He said that Anshan fully expanded its opening up to the outside world and actively integrated into the construction of the "the Belt and Road", encouraged and supported enterprises to join hands in overseas development and cultivated a number of outstanding enterprises such as Liaoning Huaye Group. He warmly invited Dr. Haruna and Nigerian friends to visit Anshan and seek common development. He hoped that Great Wall Company would continue to work deeply in Anshan and cooperate with Anshan enterprises such as Huaye Group to achieve win-win results.
Before the ceremony, Mayor Yu Gongbin met with the leaders of the Great Wall Group and the guests from NASENI, Nigeria, and more than 20 people attended the event, including officials from various ministries in Nigeria, leaders of CGWIC, and leaders of various committees and bureaus in Anshan.
